Thrombolites, Lake Clifton

Thrombolites, Lake Clifton, Western Australia.

Recently I took a trip down to Perth for the Revelation Film Festival and conference. Two of my films featured in it, one made with Archive Out of Order collaborator Tanja Bruckner.

On a day dedicated to filming, Tanja and I went exploring and found these ancient living fossils called Thrombolites, similar to the Stromatolites at Shark Bay further up the coast.

  2. They were fascinating, especially beautiful with sunlight streaming through the water and thinking about how long they’ve been there. Happy to have shared it with you both 🙂 Xxx
